Universal Athletic Service's Spring Fling Hoop Thing is gearing up for its annual event. As Montana's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Spring Fling Hoop Thing promotes fun, amateur athletics, sportsmanship and physical fitness in a drug and alcohol-free environment.

Annual Kids Fishing Day
Join us from 9 am until noon at Wadsworth Pond!  Kids Fishing day is a way to familiarize youngsters with the basic elements of fishing: tackle, casting, fly-typing, fish identifications, ethics and safety.
Kids who attend a series of educationalpresentation  receive free fishing gear. Wadsworth Pond is in Wadsworth Park just west of Great Falls. To get there: take Central West or the NW Bypass to 34th St NW; take 34th St NW to Wilkinson Lane; follow Wilkinson Lane to the end. Signs will be posted showing the way.

National Trails Day
Celebrate National Trails Day with volunteers from Get Fit Great Falls.  It’s a day to celebrate hiking with family and friends. Five different hikes are being guided FREE to the following locations:  Flower Walk to Sulphur Spring, First People’s Buffalo Jump Trail, Park to Park hike along the River’s Edge Trail, Cochrane Dam Hike, and Square Butte, near Cascade.

  • Sign up starts at 8:30 a.m. in Gibson Park, by the bandshell; the first hike departs to the Cochrane Dam trailhead at 8:45 a.m.

  • Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes (no sandals)

  • Bring a daypack, a snack and/or lunch, a bottle of water, and a raincoat or slickeer
