Great Falls has a colorful heritage reflected in many of the community’s annual celebrations, museums and art galleries.

Community and symphonic concerts, national theater touring company performances, ballets, and dance groups provide an array of quality entertainment throughout the year.  The Mansfield Center for the Performing Arts, at the heart of this activity – is home to the Great Falls Symphony, now in its 45th season.  It provides opportunities for cultural enrichment and education for people in Great Falls and other communities in Montana.

The Great Falls Civic Center serves as a cultural, social, and entertainment center for this region.

Museums
Great Falls is the hub of the art and history of the true West.  The CM Russell Museum has a permanent collection that exceeds 12,000 art works and objects of this legendary cowboy artist—the 2nd largest in the world.  The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center brings to life the most famous 8,000-mile journey in the history of the US, and the Malmstrom Air Force Base Museum and Air Park has one of the largest military model aircraft displays in the Northwest.

Art Galleries
While CM Russell may be the most well-known Montana artist, there are many others from painters to potters who capture the spirit of Montana in a variety of media.  Bi-monthly art shows at Gallery 16 spotlight the extensive talents of local artists while the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art offers workshops to the public in stunning surroundings of changing exhibitions of
contemporary art.
